CDP Venture Capital – Fondo Nazionale Innovazione aims at making Venture Capital a strategic pillar of Italy’s economic growth and innovation, by investing quickly and effectively our capital and by creating the conditions for a comprehensive and sustainable development of the Italian VC and innovation ecosystem. CDP VC was launched in 2020 and is 70% owned by CDP Equity (the equity investment arm of Cassa Depositi e Prestiti, the Italian National Promotion Institution) and 30% by Invitalia (the investment fund owned by the Ministry of Economic Development). CDP VC’s strategy is articulated on two parallel fronts: investing quickly and effectively through direct and indirect funds, and creating the conditions for an overall and sustainable growth of the VC market in Italy.
